intel737 is a set of unofficial training notes for the 737NG. It includes some research papers and material relevant to other commercial jet operations.
The general (world access) volume is currently running at about 850 pages. More briefings are being written and uploaded on a regular basis. The prime volume contains additional documentation which is specific to my airline only (a further 800 pages).
You can be an accomplished 737 pilot by building your flight experience over the top of a careful study of the manufacturer's formal documentation, the regulatory rules and your airline’s policies. The mission of Intel737 is to offer something additional. It’s not the be-all-and-end-all, but there is a good deal of detail in here that you won’t find written elsewhere. I include management practices and thinking. Much of that is from research. Some of it is my own, refined over 25 years. The notes are authored by one pilot, who has had the priviledge of being influenced by many other capable pilots, trainers and aviation educators.
Essentially, I've been anotating all of the tips and tricks that I've picked up in my time flying this aircraft. Combining that with 30 years experience in graphic design, formal qualifications in training, engineering, safety and human factors; these notes result.
Because I fly in Australia, the regulatory notes are from Australian law - which is, by and large, derived from ICAO/EASA/FAA legislation.
The notes are in a complete briefing format, by topic or procedure (eg. Rejected Takeoff) and contain all aspects relevant to the topic:
- technical descriptions & diagrams
- explanations for the procedures
- regulatory requirements
- management tips
- flow charts & other pictorial representations
- the nice to know
